Nashville Wedding Photographers - Phindy Studios

Amy & Mario were married this past fall at the lovely Ambrose House.  It was our first time shooting there and I must say, if you are looking for a small, intimate venue for your wedding, they are definitely worth checking out.  It is a beautiful historic home with a modern twist.   It was a perfect fit for Amy & Mario’s wedding   Here are a few of our favorites!

What happens when a seriously cool bride books you on the spot, is super excited about having you shoot the wedding and then, last minute, has to change the location of the wedding from Tennessee to Nashua, NH? Well, if that bride is Jessica then she buys her photographers a plane ticket and gets their butts there!  And man, are we glad she did! Mindy and I had never been to the great state of New Hampshire so we were really excited about making the trip.  We even built in an extra day so that we could see the nearby Boston and Salem (one day we will process some of our personal travel photos and share them with everyone).  Anyway, TJ & Jessica are such a great couple and we think it shows in their photos. We had perma-smiles while doing the post-processing on these images.  Their wedding and reception were a lot of fun.  So, without further a do, here are some favorites.

These groomsmen knew how to look tough, nailed it.  The portrait below of Jessica is one of my absolute favorites.

TJ busted up his hand right before the wedding so he had to have it wrapped but that didn’t slow him down at all, check out those dancing shots!

Nope!! He’s fine! Russian dance! I love the fist pump from the zebra dress girl on the right, classic.

No reception is complete without a round of  “spin the bride”.

We were so excited to find out when we were in Europe that we would be published in the newest issue of Southern Weddings Magazine!   Right before we left for our trip we received an awesome email from one of the SWMAG girls asking us if they could use a bouquet shot they saw on our blog. Uhm , yeah, absolutely! We loved Corinne’s bouquet shot from last July and we’re glad they liked it too    If you are a bride and haven’t picked up your copy, you definitely should.  I love how they branch out from traditional wedding styles and showcase new & original ideas from brides all across the South.  Also, make sure to check out their blog to get your daily SWMag fix!

Happy Friday!!  I am so excited to share with you Andrew & Rose’s wedding.  They were married this Fall at Union Station in a beautiful ceremony officiated by Andrew’s grandfather.  He is a full blown Air Force Colonel, so for those of you who know us, that was pretty exciting, especially for Phil.  Andrew is currently serving in the army and it was very touching how that was incorporated into the day.  These are two very special & sweet people and we could not have been more honored to be apart of their day.  Rose, you are crazy talented (she made the majority of her jewelry & bridesmaid jewelry, added the details to the top of her dress, made her hair clip…pretty much put her touch on every detail!) and we look forward to seeing what you do in the future

This one is probably my favorite…seriously, these kids are pretty freakin’ awesome for listening to the strange man with the camera telling them to look tough!

Sorry if the blog has been a little sporadic lately.  We are still recovering and catching up from our Europe trip.  And yes, don’t worry, Europe pictures are coming soon…we promise!  In the meantime you can check out this lovely couple! Tami & Brent are friends with Amanda Williams (who’s wedding will be blogged soon!) and we are so glad we get to shoot their upcoming wedding too   We hit a ton of fun locations for their session.  We had so much fun that we stayed pretty late into the night, risking injury for some cool night time road shots.  Thanks Tami & Brent for being so willing and brave!  After our shoot we grabbed a bite to eat on Broadway and had a great time discussing their wedding.
