Alex & Amy’s wedding was our first beautiful wedding of June! It was crazy hot but we lucked out because The Temple in Belle Meade is such a beautiful building to shoot in. It’s has amazing light & clean lines – our favorite! We loved all the attention to detail, especially the fact that Alex built their chuppah – it was beautiful. Amy & Alex, thanks for being such a fun & laid back couple to work with – we had a blast. Also, huge thanks to Leigh with A Delightful Day for keeping the day running smoothly!

Ronnie & Nicole were married a couple of weeks ago in a beautiful ceremony at CJ’s Off the Square. It was such a beautiful day & thanks to great vendors like CJ’s, Maples Wedding Cakes, and florals by Creations by Debbie, the wedding was amazing! This was also one of the sweetest weddings we have ever been a part of. Seriously, I cried like 5 times and I wasn’t the only one (ahem, Amy & Phil). Dominican Republic Destination Wedding Photography – Ryan & Julie

A couple of weeks ago we had the great honor of going to the Dominican Republic to photograph Ryan & Julie’s destination wedding. Their beautiful wedding was held at the Dreams Resort - La Romana. Not only did we get to photograph their wedding but we also got to spend an afternoon photographing their “Day After” Session on the beach & at Altos de Chavon, which is insanely beautiful. We had a blast! As you can see from the images below, these two looked great & were up for anything! Nashville Wedding Photography – Brent & Tami

We are so excited to share Brent & Tami’s wedding! Not only was it the perfect weather last Saturday but we also worked with some of our favorite vendors in town. It was such a beautiful day! The ceremony was held at Woodmont Christian Church in Green Hills and the ceremony was held at the Cannery Ballroom. We’ve had so much fun following Tami’s bridal blog over the past year as she has planned her wedding & it was awesome to see all of her hard work finally come together. There were so many great moments throughout the day and it was seriously hard for us to narrow down these photos to a few (ok, a lot) of our favorites. Tami & Brent, hope you enjoy!

Nashville Wedding Photography – Gary & Caroline

A week ago today, Gary & Caroline were married. It will definitely go down as one of the most memorable weddings we will ever photograph. Last Saturday we showed up to Carnton Plantation only to realize that we would not be able to access it due to flooding. The bride, her sister & mom were stuck on the plantation along with the make-up/hair girls. Everyone else was on the outside, including the groom. The main goal was getting everyone to safety, so we all went our separate ways & waited.

Here is a short video we made while sitting at the blocked entrance to Carnton Plantation. As you can see in the video, there were also tourist who had been visiting the plantation that day stuck on the other side of the rapids. This was the only access road in and out of the plantation. We added some cheesy, somber music for effect!

We didn’t know if there would even be a wedding. Around 4pm we got the call that the wedding had been moved to St. Paul’s in downtown Franklin. We geared back up & headed out. It was crazy outside & was raining so incredibly hard. Downtown Franklin was already in the beginning stages of flooding. However, the only goal in every one’s mind was to get this couple married! All the vendors rallied together – the cakes made it there just fine, caterers arrived, the florist managed to gather some extra flowers since the original ones had been left at Carnton. I (Mindy) didn’t know what to expect when I saw Caroline for the first time. She had every right to be completely broken down but instead she met me with a big smile. She was just happy to be getting married. That set the tone for the rest of the night. Everyone there was in great spirits. It wasn’t the wedding they had envisioned for the past year but Gary & Caroline would be Garoline by the end of the night and that was all that mattered. This is why we love these guys so much, when a lot of brides would be in tears, Caroline was cracking us up and kept her sense of humor!

Caroline wore two pairs of shoes that night, one was pretty, one was waterproof.

There was no music during the reception, so friends jumped in to provide a little entertainment. At one point the guest were singing and dancing to “All You Need is love” on the piano…it was perfect. Oh, and thank goodness for iPods!

We shot Casey & Laura’s lovely wedding back in the fall. At their wedding we ran into one of the unfortunate hurdles of shooting…rain. They had a pretty large bridal party and Phil and I had scouted and planned for some awesome shots that were not able to happen due to the weather. So, what are we to do? Well, we waited until the rain stopped & got the entire bridal party out in to the middle of an empty street to shoot a composite shot. All of this done with just one speedlight Check out the final image below!

Ryan & Casey had a beautiful winter themed wedding this past December at Union Station. It was so fun getting to photograph a Christmas wedding…I loved all the reds & unique addition to the flowers like pine cones & berries. These two definitely knew how to incorporate their personalities into the day as well. Check out the special guest that showed up during the reception & also the details on the wedding cake. Can you tell these two are HUGE Predators fans?? Casey & Ryan, you guys were awesome to work with! We will miss you and your “Jersey Shore” fist bumps Enjoy a few of our favorites!

We’re almost to the end of posting all of our 2009 weddings! Up next is Brian & Liz We love these two…they are probably some of the most laid back people we have ever met, which is just our style. We were so excited when we had dinner with them at Cabana last spring (remember that season that ISN’T winter?) and they asked us to photograph their wedding. We knew right then that their wedding would be a blast! To top it off, they also worked with some of our favorite vendors like Jacki with Elegant Weddings by Angela, Maples Wedding Cakes & Elaine McCord Florals. Brian & Liz, it was such a joy to work with you…enjoy!

Matt & Chandra were married in a beautiful fall wedding at Cedarwood. The staff at Cedarwood did an amazing job adding touches of the tropics to everything from the flowers to the cake. It was seriously one of the prettiest weddings I have ever been to. It was also one of the most fun Matt & Chandra, you guys have amazing hearts & senses of humor. Phil and I laughed the entire day…thanks for making our job so much fun. Enjoy a few of our favorites! (ok, a lot…there were so many pretty details!)

Tupelo Wedding Photography – Laura & Casey

We first met Laura and Casey at a mutual photographer friend’s house about a year ago. We knew we’d love these guys right from the start. They are both creative AND fellow Mississippians! These two super talented photographers run Lovely Union out of Tupelo, MS. and Casey is also a great graphic designer. They have such an amazing sense of humor and are really down to earth, which definitely showed in their wedding. Needless to say we were extremely pumped about traveling down to Tupelo, MS for their big day. This sneak peek will be a 2-parter. We also did an awesome day after session for them and we can’t wait to get that on the blog. Hope you enjoy this little sample…we sure enjoyed taking them
